About Us

Penessis family in 1896, moved to East Africa, creating the coffee farm “Boguma Coffee Estate”, producing many of the best varieties in the region, winning many awards and exporting them all over the world.

In 1965, expanded to the production of Instant Coffee, with the creation of the factory “Tanica - Tanzania Instant Coffee”.

In 1976, upon our return to Greece, we founded HELLAFRIC S.A., importing quality coffees from all over the world, transferring our know-how and our long time experience. Now, we continue to channel our love for continuous evolution. Our main goal and motivation, was and is still, the production and distribution of high quality products to our customers and in international markets.

From 1998 until today, we continue to enrich our range of coffee roasting products, as Coffee Travelers, with selections from the largest producing countries with the best varieties, trying to “take off” your senses and lure you into magical worlds and at the same time, to contribute to the satisfaction of even our most demanding customer.

In 2021, the group of our companies, guided by innovation and continuous development, was renewed with the acquisition of new privately owned facilities in the Industrial area of Moschato, with a total area of 2.600m2, with a production capacity of 500 tons per year and state-of-the-art equipment.
